Care Instructions for Embroidered Pieces

Embroidered pieces feature elaborate stitches that require special care, especially when washing. In addition to following the fabric care instructions on each item, here are some other tips to keep your pieces looking nice!

• Hand washing is the most gentle option (but who has time for that!)

• Machine wash with cold water on a delicate wash cycle

• Turn clothing item inside out to protect the applique and embroidery, and wash with a mild detergent

• Try not to wash with other items that have zippers, buttons, or clasps (this could snag the thread and cause damage)

• Allow the item to air dry by laying flat on a drying rack or a clean towel. If machine drying, use no heat/air dry option

• Embroidered pieces tend to wrinkle easily. IRON WITH CARE. Iron inside out with a slightly dampened cloth over the design. You can also use a steamer
